The National Coordinator of the Defense Committees of the Fourth Transformation, Claudia Sheinbaum, participated in the 15th Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM).
During the congress, she garnered support from 194 organizations and unions nationwide. CATEM introduced a plan to establish 10,000 Labor Transformation Defense Committees to promote the initiatives of the Fourth Transformation (4T) in support of workers across the country. Claudia Sheinbaum expressed her satisfaction in officially solidifying this significant alliance with CATEM.
Sheinbaum also made a commitment to advocate for labor rights, affirming, “I am dedicated to the workers of Mexico, ensuring that we will persist in defending workers’ wages and labor benefits because we recognize that when workers thrive, so do employers and the nation. Therefore, the commitment is to continue working together.”
