Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad opened up on his bond with Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli and called him humble. The former Pakistani opener also talked about the comparison between Virat and the former Pakistani skipper Babar Azam.
“Both are good players. You cannot compare Virat Kohli with anyone. He has scored against top-quality sides for a long period of time. There are players who do their work quietly and then there are a few who players that take on the World,” Shehzad said in a conversation with Daily Pakistan Global.
“Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the world. You can’t compare Virat with Babar Azam or me. Everyone is wrong if you compare it with Virat Kohli. Look at his record in all formats speaks for itself,” he added.

“Over the years, the way he has groomed himself, you know in every aspect of cricket, not just the way he plays, but the way he speaks, interacts with media. He played a big role in taking Indian cricket towards a new era, especially in Test cricket. Hats off to him. In my life since I started playing cricket, I haven’t seen someone who has adapted so quickly. I feel, his best is yet to come,” said Shehzad.
