The Pakistan side, led by skipper Shaheen Afridi, landed in Auckland on Monday ahead of the PAK vs NZ T20I series. The side was traveling from Australia’s Sydney after a 3-0 drubbing in the Test series at the hands of Pat Cummins and co. In a significant and yet minor development, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan has been named the vice captain of the side.

Pakistan will aim to shake off the whitewash at the hands of the Aussies as they head into the series against the Kiwis. This will also mark the start of the preparations for the Men in Green for the T20 World Cup 2024. The side will take on a power packed Kiwi side under the leadership of a new skipper – the young and menacing Shaheen Afridi
