Team India register ‘High’ and ‘Low’ records on same day of IND vs SA 2nd Test

A day which started with Indian bowlers annihilating the South African pacers, ended with Indian batters surrendering against Proteas pacers in IND vs SA 2nd Test at Cape Town.

After Mohammed Siraj’s 6-wicket haul helped India bundle out the hosts for a mere 55, the India’s lower batting order displayed a horror performance, as visitors went from 153/4 to 153 all-out in just 11 balls.

Bowlers’ high, Batters’ low

India took 10 wickets in 23.2 overs. This was the fewest overs taken by a subcontinent team to bowl out the opposition ever.

However, the Indian batters’ horror show saw the visitors registering an unwanted record.

Six ducks in India’s innings – the joint-most in a Test inns.

It is the 8th instance of 6 ducks in a Test inns for any team and 2nd for India.
