The chilly winds of Korean suspense blow in as Netflix announces the premiere date for The Bequeathed, a spine-chilling series directed by Yeon Sang-Ho, the visionary who sparked the zombie apocalypse in Train to Busan.

Here’s the first look at Netflix’s latest Korean drama, ‘The Bequeathed.’ The teaser begins with a voiceover questioning Seo-ha about the graveyard she inherited, followed by scenes of the police discovering an unidentified corpse.
Young-ho, a strange man who claims to be Seo-ha’s half-brother, approaches her during her uncle’s funeral. Young-ho is then seen following Seo-he about the city, performing what appears to be an occult act. As police examine an increasing number of mysterious deaths, things become more alarming when a hooded figure stalks someone in a grassland field late at night.
Murders, weird rituals, and unexplained creatures all point to an upcoming tragedy as detectives investigate the connections between all these events.
The plot of The Bequeathed revolves around Yoon Seo-ha (Kim Hyun-Joo), a young woman who finds out about her uncle’s death. Her uncle, the only remaining relative, has also “bequeathed” the family’s graveyard to her.
When she is grieving, her half-brother Kim Young-ho (Ryu Kyung-soo) confronts her and wants his share of the inheritance. Following that, A complicated series of murders and ominous events occurs.

Yoon Seo-ha plays Kim Hyun-joo, the protagonist. Ryu Kyung-soo, known for his roles in Glitch and Hellbound, plays Seo-ha’s younger half-brother, Kim Yeong-ho.
Another star-studded cast member of Netflix’s The Bequeathed is Park Hee-soon, who plays police detective Choi Seong-joon. He arrives to investigate the family’s graveyard relationship and the strange events in the neighborhood.
Park Byung-eun portrays Sang-min, the team’s leader, and Seong-joon’s junior colleague. The two will face plenty of dark secrets and terrifying realities as they research the homicides.
Park Hee-soon has joined the ensemble as sharp-eyed police inspector Choi Seong-jun, who connects the inexplicable events in town to the burial site.
Park Byung-Eun, Choi’s squad head, and younger coworker, is overcome with jealousy & a sense of inadequacy because of a past event involving Choi Seong-joon (Park Hee-soon). Park Byung-Eun is recognized for his roles in Kingdom and the 2022 hit drama Eve.
The Bequeathed will be released on Netflix worldwide on January 19, 2024.
