Members free to choose between ANC, SACP in LGE: Mantashe

The African National Congress (ANC) is gearing up for their highly anticipated National General Council (NGC), set to take place in Boksburg on the East Rand. This event, which is held every five years, is a significant milestone for the ANC as it allows for reflection, introspection and strategic planning for the future.

The NGC, which will run from the 3rd to the 6th of October, will see delegates from all corners of the country gather to discuss various issues facing the party and the country at large. This year’s theme, “Unity, Renewal and Growth for a Better South Africa”, reflects the ANC’s commitment to building a united front in order to bring about positive change and progress for all South Africans.

The NGC is a crucial platform for the ANC to review its policies, structures and strategies, in order to ensure that they are in line with the party’s vision of a united, non-racial, non-sexist, democratic and prosperous South Africa. It also provides an opportunity for the party to assess its performance and hold itself accountable to the people it serves.

One of the main items on the agenda will be the discussion and adoption of the ANC’s midterm review report, which will evaluate the party’s progress in implementing its policies and resolutions since the last NGC in 2015. This report will serve as a guide for the future direction of the party and its policies.

In addition, the NGC will also focus on key issues such as land reform, economic transformation, job creation and social cohesion. These are all critical issues that the ANC has been actively working towards addressing in order to improve the lives of all South Africans.

The NGC is also an opportunity for the ANC to engage with its alliance partners, civil society organizations and other stakeholders, who play an important role in the development and progress of our country. This collaborative approach is integral to the ANC’s commitment to building a united, inclusive and prosperous South Africa for all.

The ANC has a rich history of holding successful NGCs, which have played a pivotal role in shaping the party and the country. The outcomes of these gatherings have always been a testament to the ANC’s commitment to the people and its determination to bring about positive change for all.

The NGC also serves as a platform for the ANC to showcase its achievements and successes over the past five years. Despite the challenges that the party has faced, it has remained steadfast in its commitment to moving South Africa forward and improving the lives of its citizens.

The ANC’s NGC in Boksburg is expected to be a resounding success, with the party’s leadership, members and supporters all eagerly anticipating this important event. The NGC will undoubtedly serve as a platform for the ANC to reaffirm its commitment to a united, prosperous and inclusive South Africa.

As we approach the NGC, let us all rally behind the ANC and support its efforts to bring about positive change and progress for our country. Together, we can build a better South Africa for all, and the ANC’s NGC in Boksburg is just the first step towards achieving this goal.
