Mitchell Starc joins elite list after 4-wicket haul in AUS vs PAK 2nd Test

After taking a 4-wicket haul in the AUS vs PAK 2nd Test, Mitchell Starc has entered the elite group of bowlers in 650 or more international cricket. The left-arm pacer became just the 21st bowler in the history of cricket to cross the mark. Among active players, Starc is the fifth player to join the club, with James Anderson, Tim Southee, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Shakib al Hasan ahead of him.

Starc achieved this feat during the AUS vs PAK 2nd Test at the MCG. After going wicketless in the first inning, the pacer claimed four wickets in the second inning to end the match with 651 wickets. His 650th and 651th wickets came on consecutive balls as he dismissed Salman Ali Agha and Mir Hamza to seal the win for Australia.

The tall quick also happens to be just the 4th Australian player to take more than 650 wickets, joining legendary bowlers like Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, and Brett Lee.
