In this middleweight contest, Cody Brundage is keen to get back on the winning track while Jacob Malkoun wants to keep things going in the right direction.
Malkoun finally competes in 2023 after three fights in 2022, looking to improve on his unanimous decision victory over Nick Maximov in October. With Sedriques Dumas on the losing end of the scoreboard, Brundage steps in on short notice after doing so in June, extending his losing streak to three games.

Jacob Malkoun vs. Cody Brundage Preview And Odds
Jacob Malkoun takes on Cody Brundage in a middleweight match on the preliminary card as well. The largest favourite on the card is Malkoun, who has odds of -485. Cody Brundage has odds of +370.
Malkoun has won three of his past four matches, losing only to rising American Brendan Allen, while Brundage desperately needs to raise his hand. Since both are essentially grapplers, the outcome will depend on who can exert internal control and arrive at their positions on Saturday night.
Australian fighter Malkoun, 28, is now 3-2 in the UFC. He is one of the best wrestlers in the UFC middleweight category, and over the course of his last four fights, he has taken down a staggering 30 opponents.
With such a high percentage of takedowns, he typically has the upper hand in his battles thanks to his wrestling skills. Malkoun doesn’t strike well, thus if his battles go the distance, he might lose. However, he will probably prevail if the fight goes to the ground.
In the UFC, Brundage has had difficulty, going 2-4 overall and losing his last three matches in a row coming into this one. Although the 29-year-old American also has a background in grappling, his wrestling has not been extremely successful in the UFC.
Additionally, he has trouble with his cardio, which becomes more problematic the longer the fight lasts. With Brundage, he has roughly a five-minute opportunity in the opening frame to prevail. After that, he slows down and frequently loses.
Brundage can occasionally be thrilling, but in truth, he is fortunate to be receiving another UFC fight because he is simply not prepared for this level of competition. Malkoun, on the other hand, is tedious to watch but is the kind of person you can count on to accomplish the job.
Although the -485 odds are substantial, I believe Malkoun will dominate this bout with his wrestling and perhaps even slip in a few 10-8 rounds.
As per the prediction, it looks like Jacob Malkoun will win the bet.
